Hey, I'm coach Thomas Arens!
I developed Arens-Baseball, LLC. because I am passionate about the game of baseball and want to share my passion with rising athletes. To give you a little history, I was a top ten catching prospect in 2008 and 3 time All-District Player. I have played for Hagerstown Community College and Shenandoah University under Coach Kevin Anderson. Furthermore, I managed the H.E.A.R.T.s Lions Varsity Home School High School Baseball team from 2010-2012.
Throughout my extensive experience with the game, I have seen all the drills and coaching fundamentals necessary to take your athlete to the next level. Additionally, my experience as a coach over the last 10 years has allowed me to develop my own program and strategy to teach baseball and softball players the fundamentals of the game and improve their overall batting, catching and throwing performance.
As a younger player, I had multiple surgeries to correct shoulder, muscular and ligament injuries while playing the game. Because of my injuries, I understand how important it is to condition the body preventatively and teach athletes to be aware of their joints in order to ensure they have a long and healthy athletic career. Finally, as a graduate of Shenandoah University Exercise science program I can help students learn to avoid injuries and bring a technical awareness to their own anatomy so they can be aware of their bodies performance and signs of fatigue during the game.
My goal is always to develop your athlete to take them to the next level and my comprehensive approach is unparalleled in value and experience. My lessons are held at my personal indoor batting cage in Purcellville, VA but I'm open to all coaching inquiries and can be reached through my contact page.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you and your team reach the next level!
